    Ingredients

    • 1 pound ground beef

    • 1/2 cup chopped onion

    • 2 cloves garlic, minced

    • 1 cup beef broth

    • 1 can cream of mushroom soup

    • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables

    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

    • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough

    Directions

    • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it up with a spoon, until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if necessary.
    • Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent and garlic fragrant.
    • Pour in the beef broth and cream of mushroom soup, stirring to combine all ingredients in the skillet.
    • Add the frozen mixed vegetables and black pepper, stirring to distribute them evenly within the mixture. Bring to a gentle simmer.
    • Cut each biscuit in half and gently place them on top of the beef mixture, covering the surface evenly.
    • Cover the skillet with a lid, reduce heat to low, and let it simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. This allows the biscuits to cook thoroughly in the steam.
    • When the biscuits are fully puffed and cooked through, remove the skillet from heat. Serve the dish hot in bowls.

    Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!
