Papa Johns Is Bringing Pizza Planet to Life With Three New Toy Story 5 Personal Pizzas

Healthy Fact of the Day

Personal pizzas are a naturally portion-controlled option compared to ordering a large and estimating slices — you get the full pizza experience without the temptation to keep going. Of the three Toy Story 5 options, the Sheriff's Round Up with grilled chicken is the leanest protein choice, and the banana peppers on the Reach for the Pie add a punch of flavor with minimal calories. Skipping the dipping sauce or using it sparingly keeps sodium in check without losing the experience.

Pizza Planet is officially open — and it’s in your Papa Johns app.

Papa Johns has launched a global collaboration with Disney and Pixar for the release of Toy Story 5, hitting theaters June 19, and it’s one of the more fully realized fast food movie collabs of the summer. Three character-inspired personal pizzas, a brand-new dipping sauce, an in-app game, and Pizza Planet pop-up experiences are all part of the launch, which is available now through the app and website ahead of the national in-store rollout on June 1.

The pizzas run through July 19 — giving fans a full seven-week window to try them before and after the film’s opening.

The Three Pizzas ($6.99 each)

Each personal pizza is built on Papa Johns’ original six-ingredient dough and comes with the new Rootin’ Tootin’ Ranch Dip cup. All three are $6.99 nationwide.

Space Ranger Roni — Inspired by Buzz Lightyear, this one leans into the classic with Papa Johns signature pizza sauce, real mozzarella, and double pepperoni. It’s the most straightforward of the three and the safest bet for anyone who wants a familiar pizza with a character tie-in.

Reach for the Pie — Inspired by Woody’s iconic catchphrase, this pizza goes a different direction with signature pizza sauce, mozzarella, Italian sausage, and banana peppers. The banana peppers give it a mild tanginess that balances the richness of the sausage — and makes it the most interesting flavor of the trio.

Sheriff’s Round Up — The BBQ option: smoky Southern-style barbecue sauce as the base, topped with mozzarella, grilled chicken, and onions. The BBQ-chicken format has wide appeal, and the smoky sauce makes it feel distinct from the other two.

The New Dipping Sauce: Rootin’ Tootin’ Ranch

Every personal pizza order in the U.S. comes paired with the new Rootin’ Tootin’ Ranch Dip cup — a creamy ranch-based sauce infused with pepperoni flavor, tomato, herbs, and spices. It’s more interesting than a standard ranch cup, and the pepperoni flavor infusion makes it a natural pairing with all three pizzas. It’s available on its own for any Papa Johns order during the promotion.

Pizza Planet Pop-Ups and the In-App Game

Beyond the pizzas themselves, Papa Johns is activating the collab with Pizza Planet-themed pop-up experiences across the U.S. through the summer. Details on specific locations and dates are available on the Papa Johns app.

An in-app game is also launching June 1 alongside the national rollout, giving fans an interactive element tied to the promotion. Both the pop-ups and the game are part of what Papa Johns is calling one of its largest global promotions to date — launching simultaneously across 42 international markets including London, Madrid, and Seoul.

A Note on Ordering Now vs. June 1

The personal pizzas are already available to order through the Papa Johns app and website right now. The national in-store launch happens June 1, meaning if you want to try them before they hit your local restaurant’s menu, ordering through the app for pickup or delivery is the way to go.

About the Film

Toy Story 5 stars Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and Joan Cusack reprising their roles as Woody, Buzz, and Jessie. The story follows the gang as they come face-to-face with Lilypad, a brand-new tablet device that arrives with her own disruptive ideas about what is best for their kid, Bonnie. It opens exclusively in theaters June 19.

The Bottom Line

Papa Johns’ three Toy Story 5 personal pizzas — Space Ranger Roni, Reach for the Pie, and Sheriff’s Round Up — are available now through the app and website, with a national in-store launch on June 1. All three are $6.99 and come with the new Rootin’ Tootin’ Ranch Dip. The promotion runs through July 19, giving fans plenty of time to try all three before and after Toy Story 5 opens June 19.

Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!

Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos

Shrimp is one of the leanest proteins available, low in calories while delivering high-quality protein, selenium, and iodine. Using buttermilk in the dredge rather than a heavy batter creates a lighter, thinner coating that crisps beautifully without absorbing excessive oil. The cabbage adds fiber and vitamin C, making this indulgent-tasting taco more nutritionally balanced than it appears.

The Picnic Reimagined: Food Worth Eating Outside

Research on eating environment and meal satisfaction consistently finds that meals eaten outdoors — in natural settings with exposure to sunlight and fresh air — are associated with lower stress levels, better appetite regulation, and higher overall meal satisfaction compared to meals eaten indoors. The specific exposure to natural light during outdoor eating supports circadian rhythm regulation and vitamin D synthesis, making the outdoor meal a health practice as well as a pleasurable one. The blanket on the grass is, in other words, not just a romantic choice — it is a physiologically beneficial one.

Grilled Southwest Burger with Chipotle Mayo

Avocado brings heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, potassium, and fiber to this burger, replacing some of the need for heavier condiments while adding genuine nutritional value. Using lean ground beef—90/10 or higher—keeps the protein content strong and the saturated fat moderate, and the chipotle in adobo delivers bold smoky-spicy flavor with virtually no added fat.
