    Ingredients

    • 4 slices bread

    • 2 tablespoons butter

    • 4 slices cheddar cheese

    • 2 large eggs

    • 4 slices cooked bacon

    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

    • 1/4 teaspoon salt

    Directions

    • Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of butter until melted, coating the bottom evenly.
    • Crack the eggs into the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook to your preference. Remove and set aside.
    • Butter one side of each bread slice and place two slices, butter side down, on the skillet over medium heat.
    • Layer each bread slice with cheddar cheese, a cooked egg, bacon slices, more cheese, and top with remaining bread, butter side up.
    • Cook sandwiches until the bread is golden brown and cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side. Serve hot.
