    Ingredients

    • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

    • 4 cloves garlic, minced

    • 2 tablespoons butter

    • 1 cup heavy cream

    • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

    • 1 teaspoon salt

    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

    • 4 cups mashed potatoes

    • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

    Directions

    • Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until it’s fragrant and golden, about 1 minute.
    • Add the shrimp to the pan, cooking until they turn pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
    • Pour the heavy cream into the pan, scraping the bottom to release any brown bits for extra flavor. Simmer gently for 3-4 minutes.
    • Stir in the Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Continue stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
    • Return the shrimp to the pan, making sure they are well coated with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
    • Serve the creamy garlic shrimp over a bed of fluffy mashed potatoes and garnish with chopped parsley.

    Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!

How to Shop Like You Actually Know What You’re Looking For

Produce consumed closer to harvest contains significantly higher concentrations of heat-sensitive vitamins — particularly vitamin C and folate — than produce that has been stored for extended periods. Studies on spinach, for example, have found vitamin C losses of up to 50 percent after just a week of refrigerated storage. Shopping more frequently for smaller quantities of fresh produce is one of the most straightforward ways to increase the nutritional value of home-cooked meals without changing a single recipe.
