Wendy’s Halloween Kids’ Meal Is Back — And Adults Are Ordering It Too

Healthy Fact of the Day

Kids' meals are portioned smaller than adult entrées, which can actually make them a reasonable option for a lighter meal or a snack-sized treat. To keep things balanced, consider pairing the meal with a side of apple bites instead of fries, choosing a lower-sugar beverage like milk or water over a fountain drink, and treating the Frosty as a dessert to enjoy on its own rather than adding it on top of a larger meal.

Kids’ meals aren’t just for kids anymore.

Between collectible toy crazes and character tie-ins taking over fast food menus, plenty of grown adults have started ordering off the kids’ menu just for the extras. Wendy’s latest seasonal offering is only going to add fuel to that trend.

A Halloween Favorite Returns for Year Three

The Frosty Frights Kids’ Meal is coming back to Wendy’s for the third year in a row, starting September 14. Each meal bag includes a collectible toy, a sticker sheet, and a mini trading card, with this year’s toy lineup featuring six regular and six Halloween-colored variants, all cleverly named after the chain’s signature frozen treat.

The toys have built a genuine following since the promotion first launched, with fans online expressing excitement about completing their collections for a third straight year.

What’s Actually in the Meal

Beyond the toy, each Frosty Frights meal includes a choice of entrée, side, and drink. Entrée options include two-piece chicken tenders, four-piece chicken nuggets, a hamburger, or a cheeseburger. Sides can be swapped between Jr. Hot & Crispy Fries or Apple Bites, and the meal comes with a Jr. Frosty, perfect for dipping those fries if you’re so inclined. Beverage options round out the meal with milk, juice, lemonade, or a fountain drink.

Wendy’s has made clear there’s no age restriction on ordering it, meaning anyone who wants in on the toy collection can order without needing to bring a kid along.

A Deal That Gives Back

Alongside the meal’s return, Wendy’s is also bringing back its Boo! Books fundraiser at participating locations. For $1, the coupon book includes five free Jr. Frosty coupons along with a $1.99 Kids’ Meal offer. Of that dollar, 90 cents goes toward supporting the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.

Where and When to Get It

Both the Frosty Frights Kids’ Meal and the Boo! Books fundraiser become available on September 14. As with any limited-time seasonal item, supplies are limited, so anyone hoping to collect the full set of 12 toys will want to make repeat trips sooner rather than later.

The Takeaway

Whether it’s for the toys, the charitable tie-in, or just an excuse to dip fries in a Frosty, Wendy’s latest seasonal meal gives customers of every age a reason to swing through the drive-thru this fall.

Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!

Limited-time grocery items, especially fall-flavored snacks and baked goods, can be easy to over-buy simply because they won’t be around long.
