    Ingredients

    • 1 cup unsalted butter

    • 1 cup granulated sugar

    • 1 cup brown sugar

    • 2 large eggs

    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour

    • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda

    • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder

    • 0.5 teaspoon salt

    • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

    • 1 cup mini marshmallows

    • 1 cup chopped nuts

    Directions

    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper to prepare for baking.
    • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
    • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract thoroughly.
    • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
    • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined and forming a dough.
    • Stir in the chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and chopped nuts until they are evenly distributed in the dough.
    • Drop tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart to allow spreading.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and centers are set.
    • Let cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

    Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!

Fried, breaded items paired with a bold dipping sauce can add up in sodium fairly quickly, especially if you’re ordering a larger nugget size. To keep things balanced, consider going with a smaller portion of nuggets, using the sauce sparingly rather than dipping every bite, and pairing the order with a side salad or apple slices instead of fries to add some fiber back into the meal.

Why You’re Supposed to Let Meat Rest (And What Happens If You Don’t)

Letting meat rest before slicing helps retain more of its natural juices, which also means retaining more of the B vitamins and minerals like iron and zinc that would otherwise be lost onto the cutting board — and resting meat away from direct heat also reduces the formation of certain compounds linked to prolonged high-heat exposure.
