Korean BBQ Pork

Healthy Fact of the Day

Use lean cuts like pork loin for a lighter version, and gochujang offers probiotics and a metabolism boost. Serve with lettuce wraps or veggie sides for balance.

This Korean BBQ Pork delivers bold, authentic flavors with its savory-sweet gochujang marinade that transforms tender pork into a caramelized masterpiece. The combination of garlic, ginger, and sesame creates layers of rich depth while the gochujang adds that signature Korean heat and sweetness. Grilled until perfectly tender and topped with fresh scallions and sesame seeds, this dish brings restaurant-quality Korean flavors right to your table.

    Ingredients

    • 1.5 pounds pork shoulder

    • 0.25 cup soy sauce

    • 2 tablespoons sesame oil

    • 2 tablespoons gochujang

    • 1 tablespoon honey

    • 4 cloves garlic minced

    • 1 tablespoon ginger grated

    • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar

    • 1 teaspoon black pepper

    • 1 stalk green onion chopped

    • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

    Directions

    • In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, gochujang, honey, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and black pepper to make the marinade.
    • Add the pork shoulder to the marinade and ensure it is evenly coated. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
    • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove pork from marinade, reserving marinade for basting.
    • Grill the pork, basting occasionally with reserved marinade, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F and it’s nicely charred, about 15-20 minutes per side.
    • Let the pork rest for 5 minutes before thinly slicing. Garnish with chopped green onion and sesame seeds before serving.

    Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!
