    • 1 cup sliced onions

    • 2 cups sliced potatoes

    • 1 cup milk

    • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

    • 2 tablespoons butter

    • 1 cup chicken broth

    • 1 teaspoon salt

    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

    Directions

    • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a large baking dish with some butter or oil.
    • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the onions until they are soft and translucent.
    • Add the flour to the skillet and cook, stirring constantly, for about two minutes until the flour is lightly browned.

    • Layer the sliced potatoes in the greased baking dish, followed by half of the sauce, ensuring all potato slices are coated.
    • Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then place them on top of the potato layer.
    • Pour the remaining sauce over the pork chops, covering them fully, and cover the dish with aluminum foil.
    • Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
    • Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
