    Ingredients

    • 1 cup white rice

    • 2 cups water

    • 1 pound steak, sliced

    • 1 tablespoon olive oil

    • 1 teaspoon salt

    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

    • 1 cup queso dip

    • 1/2 cup sliced green onions

    Directions

    • Begin by rinsing the white rice under cold water to remove excess starch. Measure out one cup of rice and set aside.
    • Bring two cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add the rice, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
    • Season the steak with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
    • Once the rice is cooked, remove it from the heat and let it sit covered for an additional 5 minutes.
    • Incorporate the cooked rice into the skillet with the steak. Mix well to ensure even distribution.
    • Pour the queso dip over the steak and rice mixture, stirring constantly until heated through and cheese is melted.
    • Garnish with sliced green onions before serving. Serve hot for best taste and texture.

    Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!
