4 pieces chicken breasts
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded Asiago cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
0.5 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Directions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Carefully place chicken breasts in the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook until they are golden brown and cooked through, about 5 to 7 minutes per side.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and cook until they are tender and lightly browned, approximately 5 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Slowly add the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Gradually add shredded Asiago cheese to the sauce, stirring continuously until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it with the mushroom Asiago sauce. Lower the heat, cover, and let it simmer for 5 minutes to allow flavors to combine.
- Garnish the chicken with chopped parsley before serving to add a fresh touch and extra flavor.
