Buffalo Chicken Salad

Healthy Fact of the Day

Grilled chicken is a lean protein source, while buffalo sauce adds bold flavor with minimal calories. For a lighter option, use Greek yogurt-based ranch dressing and swap olive oil for an air fryer or baking method to cut down on extra fat while keeping the chicken juicy and flavorful.

This Buffalo Chicken Salad brings together the best of both worlds—the bold, spicy kick of buffalo sauce with the fresh, crisp satisfaction of a hearty salad. Tender chicken is tossed in tangy buffalo sauce and served over a bed of crisp greens, cucumbers, and cherry tomatoes, then finished with a cooling ranch drizzle. It’s a protein-packed meal that proves healthy eating can be full of flavor and excitement.

If you love this combination of spicy and fresh, you’ll also enjoy our Asian Chicken Crunch Salad for another protein-packed salad with bold flavors. For more buffalo-inspired dishes, try our Jalapeño Popper Chicken Salad or Doritos Taco Salad—both deliver that same satisfying crunch and zesty appeal.

    Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!

The Summer Kitchen Without a Recipe: Learning to Cook by Feel

Research on cooking confidence and dietary behavior consistently shows that cooks who feel comfortable improvising in the kitchen — who can produce a meal without following a specific recipe — cook from scratch more frequently, use more whole ingredients, and consume more vegetables than those who cook only when they have a specific recipe to follow. The ability to cook by feel is, in nutritional terms, one of the most significant skills a home cook can develop — because it removes the barrier of recipe dependency and allows the cook to respond to whatever is fresh, seasonal, and available rather than planning around what a recipe specifies.

    Slow Cooker Chicken Pasta

Slow cooking chicken breast in liquid rather than roasting or frying preserves maximum moisture and produces a protein that is genuinely tender without any added fat beyond what’s already in the sauce. Using chicken broth as part of the liquid base adds savory depth with a fraction of the sodium of additional cream, keeping this indulgent-tasting dish more balanced than it appears.
