Wendy’s Just Launched Its Fall Menu — And Fans Voted for the Headliner

Healthy Fact of the Day

The Apple Crumble Swirl — ordering just the spiced apple syrup without the oat crumbles — is a meaningfully lighter version of the new Frosty Fusion, saving calories while keeping the seasonal apple flavor intact. If you're ordering the Pretzel Bacon Pub Burger, the pretzel bun is already more filling than a standard bun, which naturally helps with portion satisfaction — you're less likely to need a large side order to feel full. Swapping the Bacon Pub Fries for a side salad or apple slices keeps the overall meal more balanced while still getting the full pub-style burger experience.

Summer isn’t technically over, but Wendy’s didn’t get the memo.

The chain officially launched its fall menu today, August 3, and it’s headlined by the return of the Pretzel Bacon Pub Burger — the fan-voted winner of Wendy’s March Madness-style Bring It Back Bracket earlier this year. The burger disappeared from menus in 2022, and fans have been asking for it back ever since. It’s here, and it brought friends.

The Fan-Voted Return: Pretzel Bacon Pub Burger

The Pretzel Bacon Pub Burger stacks beer cheese sauce, applewood-smoked bacon, smoky honey mustard, crispy onions, pickles, and Muenster cheese on a warm pretzel bun. The pretzel bun is the key detail — it has a chewiness and slight saltiness that stands apart from a standard brioche or potato bun, and the beer cheese sauce is the pairing that made the original version so beloved.

It’s joined by the Pretzel Bacon Pub Chicken Sandwich, which puts the same toppings on a crispy chicken filet instead of a beef patty. A strong alternative for chicken fans who want the full pub-style experience.

Bacon Pub Fries are also back: smothered in beer cheese, shredded cheddar, and applewood-smoked bacon crumbles. A natural companion order for either sandwich.

The New Frosty: Apple Crumble Frosty Fusion

New to the fall menu is the Apple Crumble Frosty Fusion — a Vanilla Frosty swirled with spiced apple syrup and blended with oat crumbles. It’s Wendy’s Frosty Fusion format applied to one of fall’s most classic dessert flavors, and it’s the most seasonally distinct Frosty launch since the Cookie Dough Frosty Fusion earlier this year.

Ordering options:

  • Apple Crumble Frosty Fusion — full build with vanilla Frosty, spiced apple syrup, and oat crumbles
  • Apple Crumble Swirl — the spiced apple syrup only, without the oat crumbles
  • Chocolate Frosty version — any of the above on a Chocolate Frosty base instead of vanilla

What the Bracket Was

Wendy’s Bring It Back Bracket ran during March Madness earlier this year, giving fans the chance to vote for discontinued menu items they wanted to see return. The Pretzel Bacon Pub Burger beat out several other beloved items in head-to-head rounds to claim the top spot — which is why its return today feels earned rather than arbitrary.

The Bottom Line

Wendy’s fall menu — Pretzel Bacon Pub Burger, Pretzel Bacon Pub Chicken Sandwich, Bacon Pub Fries, and the new Apple Crumble Frosty Fusion — is available now at participating locations nationwide for a limited time. If you voted in the bracket, today is your reward.

Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!

Little Caesars’ Fan-Favorite Personal Pizza Deal Is Back

A pizza-and-bread combo can pack in a fair amount of refined carbs and sodium in one sitting, especially with dipping sauce added on top. To round things out, consider pairing the combo with a side salad or a piece of fruit to add some fiber, and going easy on the dipping sauce rather than using the full portion with every bite.

Cantonese BBQ Brisket Is Back at Panda Express After Selling Out Earlier This Summer

Pairing a high-protein entrée with the right sides can help round out a more balanced meal. Consider choosing a vegetable-based side like mixed veggies instead of fried rice or chow mein to add fiber without extra refined carbs, and opting for a bowl over a plate if you’re looking to manage overall portion size while still getting the full protein benefit of the entrée.

Wendy’s Halloween Kids’ Meal Is Back — And Adults Are Ordering It Too

Kids’ meals are portioned smaller than adult entrées, which can actually make them a reasonable option for a lighter meal or a snack-sized treat. To keep things balanced, consider pairing the meal with a side of apple bites instead of fries, choosing a lower-sugar beverage like milk or water over a fountain drink, and treating the Frosty as a dessert to enjoy on its own rather than adding it on top of a larger meal.
