Warm, gooey s'mores are presented on a rustic wooden board, showcasing melted marshmallow and rich chocolate

Starbucks Just Confirmed the S’mores Frappuccino Is Coming Back — Here’s Everything Dropping This Summer

Healthy Fact of the Day

Frappuccinos are one of the more indulgent items on the Starbucks menu — a grande S'mores Frappuccino runs over 400 calories with significant added sugar. If you want the campfire flavor with a lighter footprint, the new S'mores Cold Brew is the smarter pick: it delivers the marshmallow and chocolate flavors in a cold brew format that's significantly lower in calories and sugar than the blended version. Ordering a tall instead of a grande, asking for light whip, or requesting fewer pumps of vanilla syrup are easy customizations that meaningfully reduce the calorie count without losing the experience.

The most requested Starbucks return of the year just got official.

Starbucks confirmed today that the S’mores Frappuccino is coming back for a limited time this summer — its first appearance in six years — alongside a brand-new S’mores Cold Brew and a wave of blended drinks rolling out through mid-July. The announcement came directly from Starbucks on June 8, putting to rest weeks of leaks and speculation.

Rewards members get early access on June 30. Everyone else gets it July 1.

The S’mores Frappuccino Is Back

Six years is a long time to wait for a drink. The S’mores Frappuccino last appeared on Starbucks menus in 2020, and the fan response to its absence has been consistent and vocal ever since.

The returning Frappuccino is built exactly as fans remember it: a layer of marshmallow-flavored whipped cream and milk chocolate sauce at the bottom, topped with a blend of coffee, milk, vanilla syrup, and ice, finished with more marshmallow whipped cream and graham cracker crumbles. It’s a full campfire experience in a cup — chocolate, marshmallow, and graham cracker flavors layered together in a way that’s distinctly summer.

“It’s heavenly,” one fan wrote when the return was announced on Instagram — a sentiment that showed up in multiple comments across platforms within minutes of the confirmation.

Something New: The S’mores Cold Brew

Joining the returning Frappuccino is a brand-new S’mores Cold Brew — the first time Starbucks has applied the s’mores flavor profile to its cold brew platform.

The drink starts with Starbucks Cold Brew and is topped with Marshmallow Cold Foam, chocolate syrup, and graham cracker-inspired toppings. It’s designed as a companion to the Frappuccino for cold brew fans who want the campfire flavor without the blended format — lighter, less sweet, and more coffee-forward.

Launch dates:

  • June 30: Early access for Starbucks Rewards members
  • July 1: Nationwide launch for all customers

The Full Summer Beverage Calendar

Starbucks is rolling out the rest of its summer menu in waves through mid-July:

Launching July 7: The Pink Drink-inspired merchandise collection hits coffeehouses — colorful drinkware and accessories including an oversized keychain, hair clips, and a belt bag. Pink Drink merch always moves fast; these will likely be gone within days of landing.

Launching July 14: Two new Blended Energy Refreshers join the menu: Blended Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade Energy Refresher and Blended Mango Strawberry Lemonade Energy Refresher. Both combine bright fruit flavors with lemonade or coconut milk, blended with ice and real fruit pieces. A new Blended Matcha Lemonade also arrives on July 14 for a limited time.

A Note on the Unicorn Frappuccino

In addition to all of the above, Starbucks is also bringing back the Unicorn Frappuccino for one weekend only after a nine-year hiatus. No specific dates have been confirmed for the Unicorn Frappuccino return yet — but given the S’mores confirmation, that announcement is likely coming soon.

The Bottom Line

Starbucks’ S’mores Frappuccino returns July 1 (June 30 for Rewards members), alongside a new S’mores Cold Brew. Blended Energy Refreshers and a Blended Matcha Lemonade follow on July 14. Pink Drink merch drops July 7. Download the Starbucks app now if you want the two-day head start on the s’mores drinks.

Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!

The Table We Set for Ourselves

Research on dietary patterns and long-term health consistently finds that the single most predictive factor of sustained nutritional well-being is not the adoption of any specific diet or the avoidance of any specific ingredient — it is the development of a positive, curious, non-anxious relationship with food and cooking. People who find genuine pleasure in cooking and eating, who approach food with curiosity rather than fear, and who maintain regular shared meals as a consistent feature of their lives demonstrate better dietary quality, better metabolic health, and better psychological well-being over time than those who approach food primarily as a source of nutritional management or anxiety. The relationship with food is the intervention. Everything else follows from it.

Fish Tacos with 7UP Batter

White fish is naturally low in calories and fat while being high in lean protein, B vitamins, and minerals like selenium and phosphorus. Using carbonated soda in the batter reduces the amount of batter needed to achieve crispiness, since the bubbles create lightness rather than density. Serving with fresh cabbage adds fiber and vitamin C while the crunch factor keeps every bite interesting.

Bang Bang Salmon Salad

Salmon is one of the richest sources of omega-3 fatty acids, which support heart and brain health, and grilling rather than frying keeps the added fat minimal. The sweet chili and sriracha in the dressing provide bold flavor from chiles, which contain capsaicin—a compound associated with anti-inflammatory benefits—making this indulgent-tasting salad genuinely nutritious from top to bottom.
