Krispy Kreme’s First-Ever Orange Dreamsicle Donut Is Here — But Only Through This Weekend

Healthy Fact of the Day

Treating yourself to a seasonal donut is one of life's small joys — and with a $5 dozen deal, it's easy to end up with more than you planned on. If you're sharing with a group, that's the perfect scenario. If you're going solo, consider portioning a few out for the week and freezing the rest — yeast donuts freeze surprisingly well when wrapped tightly and can be refreshed in a few seconds in the microwave. Enjoying one or two mindfully beats eating through a box in one sitting.

The window is closing fast.

Krispy Kreme launched its brand-new Orange Dreamsicle Original Glazed doughnuts this past Thursday, and they’re only available through Sunday, May 17, at participating locations. That means you have today and tomorrow to get them — and a $5 dozen deal to sweeten the trip.

A First-Ever Flavor for Krispy Kreme

This isn’t a returning fan favorite or a seasonal callback. The Orange Dreamsicle Original Glazed is a completely new flavor — the first time Krispy Kreme has put an orange-and-cream glaze on its iconic Original Glazed doughnut.

The concept is exactly what it sounds like: the airy, melt-in-your-mouth Original Glazed base coated in a glaze that blends bright citrus and smooth vanilla — a direct nod to the classic orange Dreamsicle ice cream bar. It’s summer in donut form, and at four days of availability total, it may be the most fleeting Krispy Kreme release of the year.

“Summer flavors have a way of sparking instant happiness,” said Alison Holder, Krispy Kreme’s Chief Brand and Product Officer. “Our first-ever Orange Dreamsicle Original Glazed doughnuts are here to deliver that feel-good flavor now.”

The $5 Dozen Deal

Krispy Kreme is running a deal alongside the launch: buy any dozen doughnuts at regular price and get a dozen Orange Dreamsicle Original Glazed for just $5. That works out to roughly 42 cents per doughnut on the second dozen — one of the better donut deals of the season.

Here’s how to get it:

  • In-shop or drive-thru: Available today and tomorrow while supplies last. Limit of two Orange Dreamsicle dozens per guest at the promotional price.
  • Online (app or website): Enter promo code ORANGE at checkout. Limit one per guest online.

How to Find a Participating Location

Not every Krispy Kreme location carries the Orange Dreamsicle doughnuts. Use the shop locator at krispykreme.com to confirm your nearest participating location before making the trip — especially if you’re planning to go Sunday.

Don’t Wait Until Tomorrow

Four-day windows at Krispy Kreme move fast, and the Orange Dreamsicle promotion is already on its second-to-last day. Given that this is a first-ever flavor — not a returning item with a known pattern — there’s no guarantee it’ll be back next year. If you want to try it, today is the safer bet.

The Bottom Line

Krispy Kreme’s first-ever Orange Dreamsicle Original Glazed doughnuts are available today and tomorrow only at participating locations. Get a dozen for $5 with any regular-price dozen purchase — in-shop, at the drive-thru, or online with code ORANGE. After Sunday, they’re gone.

Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!

The Salt of the Earth: A Deep Dive Into the World’s Most Essential Mineral

The vast majority of dietary sodium in the contemporary American diet — approximately seventy percent — comes from processed and packaged foods rather than from salt added during cooking or at the table. This means that reducing the salt used in home cooking has a relatively modest impact on total sodium intake for most people, while reducing consumption of processed foods has a substantially larger one. The cook who seasons food properly with salt during home cooking is adding a small fraction of the sodium present in a single serving of most processed snack foods, fast food, or restaurant meals — making thoughtful home cooking with adequate salt a meaningfully lower-sodium dietary pattern than convenience food eating with no added salt.

Campbell’s Just Did Something It Hasn’t Done in 128 Years — Changed the Color of Its Soup Can

Campbell’s Protein Soups are one of the more nutritionally complete canned soup options on the market right now — 20 grams of protein, 5 to 13 grams of fiber depending on the flavor, and notably lower sodium than many comparable canned soups. For an easy high-protein lunch, pair a can with a slice of whole grain toast or a handful of crackers to add complex carbohydrates that slow digestion and keep you fuller longer. The Mediterranean Lentil is the highest-fiber option of the five and a great choice for anyone looking to support digestive health alongside their protein goals. And because these soups are heat-and-serve, they’re a practical alternative to protein shakes on days when you want real food but don’t have time to cook.
