    Ingredients

    • 0.5 cup soy sauce

    • 0.5 cup brown sugar

    • 0.25 cup ketchup

    • 0.25 cup pineapple juice

    • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger

    • 1 tablespoon minced garlic

    • 4 pieces bone-in chicken thighs

    Directions

    • In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, pineapple juice, ginger, and garlic to create the marinade.
    • Place the chicken thighs in a resealable plastic bag and pour in the marinade. Seal the bag and massage the marinade into the chicken.
    • Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results, turning the bag occasionally.
    • Preheat the grill to medium heat. Oil the grill grates lightly to prevent sticking.
    • Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
    • Transfer the grilled chicken to a serving platter and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
