    Ingredients

    • 1 lb ground pork

    • 2 tbsp fish sauce

    • 2 tbsp soy sauce

    • 1 egg

    • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

    • 3 cloves garlic, minced

    • 1 tsp ground black pepper

    • 1 tbsp sugar

    • 1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

    • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

    Directions

    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it for later.
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground pork, fish sauce, soy sauce, egg, panko breadcrumbs, minced garlic, black pepper, sugar, and half of the chopped cilantro.
    • Mix the ingredients thoroughly using your hands or a spatula until all the ingredients are well integrated and form a cohesive mixture.
    • Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs using your hands. Place each meatball on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are evenly spaced.
    • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs in batches so as not to overcrowd the pan.
    • Brown the meatballs on all sides, turning them with tongs or a spatula, until evenly browned, approximately 5 minutes.
    • Transfer browned meatballs to the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until cooked through.
    • Serve the meatballs hot, garnished with the remaining cilantro. Enjoy them on their own or in a sandwich for a delicious banh mi experience.

    Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!
