Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza Is Just $1 Today — But Only Until Midnight

Healthy Fact of the Day

The Mexican Pizza is one of Taco Bell's more balanced menu items — the refried beans add fiber and plant-based protein, and the two crispy shells create a satisfying portion that doesn't demand a side order to feel complete. At $1 today, it's easy to be tempted to grab more than one, but a single Mexican Pizza alongside water is actually a reasonable fast food meal on its own. If you're building a full order around it, skipping the nachos or loaded fries and adding a side of black beans instead keeps the overall meal more nutritionally balanced.

One of Taco Bell’s most iconic menu items is $1 today. That’s it. That’s the story.

From 8 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. PT today, July 28, Taco Bell is offering the Mexican Pizza for just $1 at participating locations nationwide. It normally runs $5.99. No app required, no loyalty membership, no promo code — order in person, at a kiosk, or online through the Taco Bell website or app. Limit one per order.

What’s in the Mexican Pizza

Two crispy-fried Mexican Pizza shells sandwich a layer of seasoned ground beef and refried beans, topped with Mexican Pizza sauce, a three-cheese blend of mozzarella, cheddar, and Monterey Jack, and diced tomatoes. It’s been on Taco Bell’s menu in various forms since 1985, disappeared in 2020, came back in 2022 after a massive fan campaign, and has been a permanent fixture ever since.

At $1, there’s no reasonable argument for not getting one today.

How to Get It

  • In person at the counter
  • At a kiosk inside the restaurant
  • Online at tacobell.com or through the Taco Bell app

Limit one discounted Mexican Pizza per order. The deal runs until 11:59 p.m. PT — that’s 2:59 a.m. ET — so East Coasters have plenty of time.

The Bottom Line

Mexican Pizza for $1 at Taco Bell, today only, July 28. Order in person, at a kiosk, or online. Limit one per order. Don’t overthink it.

Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!

Key West Grilled Chicken

Lime juice in the marinade provides vitamin C and acts as a natural tenderizer through its citric acid content, producing a juicier, more tender finished chicken without any added fat. Honey is bold enough in flavor that a small amount delivers meaningful caramelization and sweetness on the grill, keeping the overall sugar content of the marinade moderate.
