Cold Stone Creamery Just Launched a Supergirl Collab — Including a Brand-New Ice Cream Flavor Nobody Saw Coming

Healthy Fact of the Day

Cold Stone Creations are famously indulgent, but you have more control than you might think. Ordering a "Like It" size (the smallest) instead of a "Love It" or "Gotta Have It" saves meaningful calories while delivering the full flavor experience — the mix-ins and ice cream taste exactly the same in a smaller portion. The Popcorn Supernova Shake is also a lighter-format option than the Creation if you're watching your overall intake, since shakes tend to be less dense. If the Kettle Corn Ice Cream is available on its own without mix-ins, that's the lowest-calorie way to try the new flavor.

Hollywood came to the ice cream shop this summer.

Cold Stone Creamery has partnered with DC Studios and Warner Bros. to launch a Supergirl-inspired limited-edition menu, available now through July 21 at participating locations nationwide. The collab arrives ahead of Supergirl’s theatrical release on June 26 and centers around a genuinely unexpected new flavor: Kettle Corn Ice Cream — sweet, salty, and unlike anything else in the Cold Stone lineup.

It’s available in two formats, there’s a sweepstakes with Space Camp as the grand prize, and the whole thing disappears July 21. Here’s everything worth knowing.

The New Flavor: Kettle Corn Ice Cream

The star of the collab is a brand-new Kettle Corn Ice Cream that captures the sweet-and-salty profile of classic kettle corn in frozen cream form. It’s the foundation for both limited-time menu items, and it’s available on its own or as the base for either Supergirl creation.

“Inspired by Supergirl fearlessly flying into theaters this summer, we created a Kettle Corn Ice Cream that strikes the perfect balance of sweet and salty,” said Jana Schneider, Vice President of National Programs at Kahala Brands, Cold Stone’s parent company.

The Two Supergirl Items

Supergirl’s Cosmic Kettle Corn Creation — Kettle Corn Ice Cream mixed with Caramel Corn, Caramel, and Supergirl Sprinkles. Cold Stone’s Creation format means everything is mixed on the stone right in front of you — the caramel corn adds crunch alongside the ice cream while the caramel swirls through for an extra layer of sweetness.

Supergirl’s Popcorn Supernova Shake — The same Kettle Corn Ice Cream blended into a shake, topped with Caramel Corn, Whipped Topping, and Supergirl Sprinkles. A lighter-format option for anyone who wants the flavor without the mixed-in texture of the Creation.

Both are available now through July 21 at Cold Stone Creamery locations nationwide, including the Universal CityWalk Orlando location for park visitors.

The Sweepstakes: Win Space Camp for Two

Cold Stone is running a Supergirl Sweepstakes alongside the menu launch through July 21 — and the grand prize is genuinely impressive.

Grand Prize: An Adult Space Camp Experience for Two at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama — including up to $1,600 toward airfare, two nights of on-site lodging and meals, and Supergirl-themed merchandise.

Second Prize: A year’s worth of Cold Stone ice cream ($300 in gift cards).

Third Prize (10 winners): A $100 Cold Stone gift card each.

No purchase is necessary. The sweepstakes is open to U.S. residents 18 and older (excluding Rhode Island). Enter at ColdStoneCreamery.com through July 21.

About the Film

Supergirl stars Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El and Jason Momoa as the villain Lobo, directed by Craig Gillespie. It opens exclusively in theaters and IMAX on June 26, 2026 — making the next ten days of the Cold Stone collab the perfect pre-movie celebration window.

Hollywood Came to Fast Food This Week

Cold Stone’s Supergirl collab arrives in the same week that Papa Johns launched its Toy Story 5 personal pizza lineup and KFC announced its own Supergirl-themed meals and collectible bucket. The summer of 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most aggressive movie tie-in seasons in fast food history — and ice cream is very much part of it.

The Bottom Line

Cold Stone Creamery’s Supergirl collab — featuring the new Kettle Corn Ice Cream in two limited-time formats — is available now through July 21 at participating locations nationwide. Enter the sweepstakes at ColdStoneCreamery.com for a chance at Space Camp for two. Supergirl opens in theaters June 26.

Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!

Happy Juneteenth — Here’s How to Celebrate With Food Today

Juneteenth has a beautiful food tradition worth knowing about — the holiday is historically associated with red foods including hibiscus tea, red velvet cake, watermelon, and red beans, a tradition rooted in West African foodways that carried through generations of Black American culture. Many of these traditional Juneteenth foods are nutrient-rich in their natural forms: hibiscus tea is packed with antioxidants and has been studied for its benefits to blood pressure, and watermelon is a hydrating, vitamin C-rich summer staple. Celebrating with traditional foods today is both delicious and a way of honoring the cultural roots behind what’s on your plate.

The Hidden World of Umami and the Fifth Taste

The practical application of umami knowledge has meaningful implications for sodium reduction in cooking. Research demonstrates that replacing a portion of added salt with glutamate-rich ingredients — miso, soy sauce, tomato paste, Parmesan, and other fermented or aged umami sources — maintains perceived saltiness and flavor satisfaction while significantly reducing total sodium content. A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that incorporating umami-rich ingredients allowed for sodium reductions of up to forty percent in soups and sauces without any decrease in perceived palatability — making umami literacy one of the most practical tools available for heart-healthy cooking.
