    Ingredients

    • 8 pieces string cheese

    • 1 cup all-purpose flour

    • 2 large eggs

    • 1 cup breadcrumbs

    • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

    • 0.5 teaspoon salt

    • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

    • 2 cups vegetable oil

    Directions

    • Unwrap the string cheese pieces and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then put them in the freezer for about 30 minutes to firm up.
    • Prepare the breading station by placing flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and a mixture of breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a third bowl.
    • Heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat until it reaches a temperature of about 350°F (175°C).
    • Take a cheese stick from the freezer, coat it in flour, dip it in the beaten eggs, then roll it in the breadcrumb mixture ensuring it’s completely covered.
    • Carefully place the breaded mozzarella sticks in the hot oil and fry for about 1 to 2 minutes until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
    • Use a slotted spoon to remove the mozzarella sticks from the oil and drain them on a paper towel-lined plate before serving warm.
