    Ingredients

    • 1 box white cake mix

    • 1 cup water

    • 0.33 cup vegetable oil

    • 3 eggs

    • 3 oz strawberry jello mix

    • 1 cup boiling water

    • 1 cup cold water

    • 2 cups whipped topping

    • 1 lb strawberries

    • 0.5 cup blueberries

    Directions

    • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan, ensuring even coverage for easy cake removal.
    • Prepare the white cake mix according to the package instructions, incorporating water, oil, and eggs, and then pour it into the prepared pan.
    • Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
    • Allow the cake to cool for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, dissolve the strawberry jello mix in 1 cup of boiling water, mixing thoroughly.
    • Stir in 1 cup of cold water into the dissolved jello mix and let it sit until it reaches room temperature while the cake cools.
    • Once the cake cools, poke holes approximately 1 inch apart all over with a fork and pour the jello mixture evenly over the cake.
    • Refrigerate the cake for at least 3 hours to allow the jello to set, making sure the flavors meld well during chilling.
    • Spread whipped topping evenly over the cake, ensuring consistent coverage for a smooth final touch before adding fruits.
    • Arrange sliced strawberries in stripes and blueberries in the corner square to replicate the American flag design.
    • Refrigerate the cake until ready to serve, ensuring that the whipped topping stays firm and the flag design intact.

    Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!
