Garlic Herb Baked Salmon

Salmon is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, which support heart and brain health. This recipe combines succulent salmon with garlic and fresh herbs for a flavorful and nutritious dish.

Ingredients

 

  • 4 salmon fillets (6-8 oz each)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Lemon slices for garnish (optional)

 

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, chopped fresh parsley, chopped fresh dill, lemon zest, lemon juice, and olive oil. Mix well.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Season the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper.
  5. Spoon the garlic herb mixture evenly over each salmon fillet, spreading it out with the back of a spoon.
  6. If desired, place a lemon slice on top of each fillet for added flavor.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked to your preferred level of doneness.
  8. Remove the baked salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  9. Serve your Garlic Herb Baked Salmon hot, garnished with additional fresh herbs and lemon slices if desired.
