Crispy Hot Honey Wings

Healthy Fact of the Day

While chicken wings are often considered indulgent, they do provide a good source of protein. The addition of honey offers some antioxidants and may have antimicrobial properties. By baking rather than frying, this recipe reduces the overall fat content compared to traditional fried wings. Moderation is key when enjoying this flavorful dish as part of a balanced diet.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, split at joints, tips removed
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce (like Sriracha)
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels.

  3. In a large bowl, toss wings with baking powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

  4. Arrange wings on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.

  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.

  6. While wings are baking, make the hot honey sauce: In a small saucepan, combine honey, hot sauce, vinegar, red pepper flakes, and garlic.

  7. Simmer the sauce over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  8. When wings are done, toss them in the hot honey sauce until well coated.

  9. Return wings to the baking sheet and broil for 2-3 minutes until caramelized.

  10. Serve immediately, with extra sauce on the side if desired.

Bite into these crispy, sticky hot honey wings and let the perfect balance of sweet heat tantalize your taste buds! With their irresistible crunch and finger-licking glaze, these aren’t just appetizers – they’re the MVP of any gathering. Whether you’re hosting a game day party or just craving a spicy snack, these wings are sure to score big with everyone at the table. Get ready for a flavor touchdown!

Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!

Chobani’s Most-Requested Creamer Is Finally Coming Back — Three Years After Fans Started Begging

Flavored coffee creamers can be a satisfying way to enjoy your morning cup without a full coffeehouse splurge — but the calories and sugar can sneak up on you if you’re not paying attention. Measuring out a single serving rather than free-pouring is an easy habit that keeps intake in check. If you love a dessert-inspired creamer like this one, try pairing it with a simple black cold brew rather than an already-sweet coffee drink to let the flavor shine without doubling up on sugar.
