This apple coleslaw recipe incorporates a variety of colorful vegetables and fruits, providing a good source of dietary fiber, vitamin C, and antioxidants. Ingredients

  • 4 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded red cabbage
  • 1 large carrot, grated
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, julienned
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded green cabbage, red cabbage, grated carrot, julienned apple, and chopped red onion.

  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, and honey to create the dressing.

  3. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss until well combined, ensuring all ingredients are evenly coated.

  4. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

  5. Chill the coleslaw in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.

Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!
