Burger King Is Dropping a New Customer-Created Whopper on March 30

Healthy Fact of the Day

When indulging in a burger, small swaps can make a meaningful difference without sacrificing flavor. Skipping the cheese or opting for a smaller patty size can trim calories and saturated fat, while loading up on lettuce and tomato adds fiber and nutrients. Pairing your burger with water or an unsweetened drink instead of a sugary lemonade is another easy way to keep the overall meal more balanced.

Burger King is handing the menu over to its fans — again.

The chain is launching the Peppercorn BLT Whopper on March 30 at participating locations nationwide, the latest creation born from its Whopper by You platform. The customer-inspired initiative has already produced hits like the BBQ Brisket Whopper, the Crispy Onion Whopper, the Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper, and most recently the Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper — and with more than 600,000 submissions to the platform, it shows no signs of slowing down.

The new Peppercorn BLT Whopper replaces the Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper on the limited-time menu, so fans of that burger have just a few more days to grab it before it’s gone.

What’s on the Peppercorn BLT Whopper

The Peppercorn BLT Whopper takes a simple, classic approach — and according to BK, that’s exactly the point.

The burger is built on a quarter-pound, flame-grilled beef patty and topped with peppercorn mayo, crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, tomato, and cheese, all served on Burger King’s recently updated toasted sesame seed bun. The new bun, which the chain recently reformulated for a more premium taste and feel, gives the burger a noticeably upgraded base compared to previous iterations.

The result is a burger that’s peppery, savory, and a bit lighter than the steakhouse-loaded Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper it’s replacing. Think classic BLT energy, but with a bold peppercorn kick running through every bite.

The Whopper by You Platform Explained

The Peppercorn BLT Whopper didn’t come from a boardroom — it came from customers.

Burger King’s Whopper by You platform invites fans to submit their own Whopper creations directly to the brand. The most popular and feasible ideas get developed into actual menu items, tested, and rolled out to restaurants across the country. To date, the platform has received more than 600,000 submissions, and each new Whopper by You release represents a direct response to what fans have been asking for.

Previous Whopper by You creations include the BBQ Brisket Whopper and Crispy Onion Whopper from last year, followed by the Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper and Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper earlier in 2026. The Peppercorn BLT Whopper is the latest in that lineup — and given the pace of launches, it almost certainly won’t be the last.

If you have a Whopper idea of your own, you can submit it at bk.com/WBY.

Plus: A New Watermelon Lemonade

Alongside the Peppercorn BLT Whopper launch, Burger King is also releasing a new Watermelon Lemonade for a limited time. The seasonal drink balances sweet watermelon flavor with tangy, tart lemonade — a warm-weather pairing that gives the new burger a natural sidekick heading into spring.

No pricing has been announced for the Watermelon Lemonade at this time.

How It Stacks Up Against the Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper

For fans of the outgoing Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper — stacked with onion rings, crispy bacon, sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese, and peppercorn aioli — the Peppercorn BLT Whopper is a notably different experience. Where the Steakhouse version leaned into rich, layered flavors and premium toppings, the BLT Whopper is cleaner and more straightforward, with the peppercorn mayo doing the heavy lifting on flavor.

Neither is better — they’re just built for different moods. The Steakhouse Whopper was a splurge; the Peppercorn BLT is an elevated everyday burger.

The Bottom Line

Burger King’s Peppercorn BLT Whopper drops March 30 at participating U.S. locations for a limited time. Built from customer suggestions through the Whopper by You platform, it features a quarter-pound flame-grilled patty, peppercorn mayo, crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, and cheese on a toasted sesame seed bun. A new Watermelon Lemonade is also launching for the season.

The Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper is still available for a few more days — so if you haven’t tried it yet, now’s the time.

Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!

The Foods That Tell You Where You Are

Traditional regional foods — the cheeses, fermented products, cured meats, and agricultural staples of specific geographic areas — often reflect centuries of nutritional adaptation to local conditions. Mountain cheeses from high-altitude grazing regions tend to be higher in fat-soluble vitamins from the diverse alpine flora the animals consume. Coastal food traditions tend to include higher consumption of omega-3-rich seafood. Regional diets, eaten in their place of origin and in their traditional form, often represent nutritional systems that evolved in relationship with the specific needs and conditions of the people who developed them — a dimension of food culture that industrial standardization has progressively diminished.

White Castle Is Putting Slider Vending Machines in 1,000 Locations — And They’re Already Live at Two Airports

Airport food is notoriously difficult to navigate nutritionally, and vending machines even more so — but White Castle sliders are actually among the more portion-controlled fast food options available in a travel setting. At around 140–170 calories per slider, a single Original or Cheese Slider is a manageable snack rather than a full meal splurge. If you’re grabbing from a kiosk on the go, pairing one slider with a bottle of water and a piece of fruit from a newsstand is a surprisingly balanced airport meal compared to a full fast food combo.
