    Ingredients

    • 1 package puff pastry dough

    • 8 pieces hot dogs

    • 0.5 cup ketchup

    • 0.25 cup mustard

    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

    • 1/4 cup sliced olives

    Directions

    • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare a baking sheet by greasing it lightly with vegetable oil.
    • Unroll the puff pastry dough. Cut it into thin strips using a sharp knife or pizza cutter for evenness.
    • Wrap each hot dog with the dough strips, leaving gaps to create the mummy wrappings. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 12 to 15 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.
    • Let the mummy dogs cool slightly before adding small mustard dots for eyes, using olives for pupils if desired.
    • Serve the mummy dogs warm with ketchup and mustard on the side for dipping. Best when enjoyed fresh out of the oven.

    Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!
