Heavenly Banana Bread

Healthy Fact of the Day

Bananas are not only delicious but also nutritious. They are a good source of potassium, vitamin C, vitamin B6, and dietary fiber. Incorporating bananas into your diet can help support heart health, digestion, and overall well being.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter or coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (or whole wheat flour for a healthier option)
  • Optional add-ins: chopped nuts, chocolate chips, or dried fruit

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper. In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed bananas, melted butter or coconut oil, honey or maple syrup, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.

  2. Add baking soda and salt to the mixture and stir well.

  3. Gradually fold in the flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  4. If desired, gently fold in any optional add-ins such as chopped nuts, chocolate chips, or dried fruit.

  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

  8. Slice, serve, and savor every delightful bite!

Treat yourself and your loved ones to a slice of homemade Banana Bread, and let its warmth and flavor brighten your day.

Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!
