Ingredients
- 4 large apples (such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
- 2 tablespoons raisins or dried cranberries
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup water
- Vanilla yogurt or vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Core the apples, leaving the bottom intact to form a well for the filling.

In a small bowl, mix together chopped nuts, raisins or dried cranberries, honey or maple syrup, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg.

Stuff each cored apple with the nut and fruit mixture.

Place the stuffed apples in a baking dish.

Pour water into the bottom of the baking dish to prevent the apples from drying out.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the apples are tender.

Remove the baked apples from the oven and let them cool slightly.
