Bacon Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

 

 

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup milk (or more, as needed)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Chives or green onions for garnish

Instructions

 

  1. Place the potato chunks in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and simmer until the potatoes are fork-tender.

  2. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.

  3. Mash the potatoes using a potato masher or fork.

  4. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

  5. Pour the melted butter over the mashed potatoes and mix well.

  6. Add milk gradually, mixing until you reach your desired creamy consistency.

  7. Season the mashed potatoes with salt and black pepper to taste.

  8. Fold in the crumbled bacon, reserving some for garnish.

  9. Transfer the Bacon Mashed Potatoes to a serving dish.

  10. Garnish with additional crumbled bacon and chopped chives or green onions.

  11. Serve these indulgent mashed potatoes as a flavorful and satisfying side dish.
