    Ingredients

    • 2 whole cucumbers

    • 1 whole red bell pepper

    • 1 whole yellow bell pepper

    • 0.25 cup red onion, thinly sliced

    • 0.5 cup feta cheese, crumbled

    • 2 tablespoons olive oil

    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

    • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

    • 0.5 teaspoon salt

    • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

    Directions

    • Slice the cucumbers lengthwise and then into half-moons to have even slices for the salad.
    • Chop the red and yellow bell peppers into small bite-sized pieces for easy mixing with other ingredients.
    • In a large bowl, combine the cucumbers, bell peppers, and red onion, mixing them gently with a salad spoon.
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to create a dressing.
    • Pour the dressing over the vegetables and toss the salad repeatedly until all components are evenly coated.
    • Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese over the mixed salad and gently toss one more time to distribute the cheese.
    • Serve the salad fresh on individual plates or a large serving dish. Optionally, chill in the refrigerator for a cooler taste.
    • Enjoy your refreshing cucumber sweet pepper salad as a starter or alongside your favorite main dish.

    Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!

Why Your Cookies Spread Too Much or Stay in Balls

Understanding cookie spread mechanics allows you to make intentional choices about texture and portion size rather than accidentally creating oversized, overly thin cookies that encourage overconsumption, and properly formed cookies with controlled spread contain more satisfying textural contrast between crispy edges and chewy centers, making smaller portions more satisfying than larger, uniformly textured ones.
