Buffalo Meatballs

Healthy Fact of the Day

Buffalo Meatballs offer a spicy and flavorful twist to the classic meatball, providing a kick of heat without sacrificing the protein-packed goodness.

Ingredients

For the Meatballs:

  • 1 pound ground chicken or turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Buffalo Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  •

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken or turkey, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, milk, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until they are cooked through and golden brown.

  5. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the buffalo sauce. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in hot sauce, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  6. Once the meatballs are done, transfer them to a large bowl and pour the buffalo sauce over them. Gently toss until the meatballs are evenly coated.

  7. Serve your Buffalo Meatballs hot with celery sticks and your favorite dipping sauce.

  8.

Enjoy these zesty and spicy Buffalo Meatballs as a delicious appetizer or party snack, perfect for game day or any gathering!

Tip of the Day

“Always let your meat rest before slicing.”

Whether you're roasting a chicken, grilling steak, or baking pork tenderloin, letting cooked meat rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing allows the juices to redistribute evenly. This simple step keeps your meat juicy and tender, ensuring every bite is flavorful and moist. Bonus: It gives you a moment to plate your sides or garnish for a perfect presentation!
